Week 12 Recap
BMuz Game of the Week
Pepperell Patriots (7-5) defeated Dublin #McNuggets (6-6)
Haroon is headed back to the playoffs for the first time since 2014 after his takedown of the reigning back-to-back West/Brothers division title holder, Ayman Usmani. The Patriots were 3-5 after Week 8, but have now won four straight games while averaging 121 ppg. Nice job, Haroon 👍🏼.
Lexington Mughals (5-7) defeated Boston Baingans (6-6)
6-2 and poised for a run at his third BMuz FFL title, the Baingains completed their collapse with a loss to the Mughals in Week 12. The loss, the Baingains fourth straight, eliminated Usmani from the playoffs. Meanwhile, the once 2-6 Mughals turned around their season with some savvy trades and pickups and will be a force to be reckoned with in the consolation bracket.
Chicago 7-6ers (10-2) defeated Malden Cavaliers (7-5)
Ebad failed to clinch his first-ever playoff berth, while Ace should consider renaming his team to the Chicago First Round Byes. Despite Robby Anderson’s best efforts, Ebad’s team never stood a chance as Philip River’s monster performance on Thanksgiving gave Ace a nice head start. Gobble gobble 🦃.
New England Double Terriers (3-9) defeated Franklin Raekwons (4-8)
In what might be the Double Terriers penultimate regular season game following their second ineligible roster this season (vote to come!), Sultan and Areeb put up a monster performance thanks to Julio Jones’s 42.4 point performance. Jones is the first WR in BMuz history to put up 40+ points game. In other news, Mike Gillislee was finally benched by the Franklins Raekwons.
Bloomfield Cowboys (7-5) defeated Chappaqua GOATs (5-7)
Since falling to 5-5 and being on the outside looking in at the playoffs, the Cowboys have responded with two, strong wins and are now in line for a playoff berth. Strong performances from his Patriots duo, Tom Brady and Brandin Cooks, have made it easy to get past the loss of Zeke.
Lowell Panthers (4-8) defeated Old Tappan J-E-T-S (10-2)
Roses are red, violets are blue, Dak Prescott sucks and Alvin Kamara is a freaking beast.
Chelmsford Charawalas (4-8) defeated Boston OakTrees (7-5)
Mubarakstan UoMs (7-5) defeated Waco White Walkers (4-8)
Winner of five straight games, Aasim has taken control of the Eli (RIP) division and knocked his rival, Oak, from the top of the standings. The UoMs have put up 124, 123, 128, 132, and 107 points respectively over those five games. Given his recent performances plus his a steady QB, a blazing hot RB (Ingram), and solid depth at his skill positions (Jones Jr., Michael Thomas, Shephard, Gore), Aasim may be the favorite to win the 2017 BMuz title.
