2016 BMuz Champion

BMuz Championship Game Recap

#5 Chappaqua GOATs (9-4) defeated #2 Chicago 7-6ers (10-3)

For the second year in a row, Hasan Ali is your BMuz fantasy football champ following his thrashing of the Chicago 7-6ers. Hasan’s championship game performance broke two championship game records. First, his 147.7 score bested the 147.2 score Shahzad put up against Sakib in 2011. Second, his 55.5 point margin of victory over Ahsan beat Shahzad’s 51.5 point man handling of Oak in 2012.

Other stats to further inflate Hasan’s ego. Last year Hasan put up an average of 137 ppg in the playoffs. This year he continued his week 14-16 dominance by averaging 133 ppg and beating his opponents by an average of 28.5 points. And this is all with AJ Green out for the past few weeks with a hamstring injury. He was led by a dominant David Johnson (14.4, 24.4, and 31.8 points), a steady OBJ (14.4, 15.1, 18.3 points), and playoff MVP Justin Tucker (11, 12, 15 points).

On the losing side, Ahsan and his overachieving 7-6ers fought their way into the championship for the second time in their eight year history, but were once again blown out. While his core four (Gurley, Hilton, Evans, Cooks) put up respectable numbers, his other players were very disappointing and Ace could not get the break out games he needed to contend with Hasan. He’ll go into the offseason with four solid keepers and with the 7-6 monkey off his back should continue to contend for a title next year.
