BMuz Game of the Week and Co-Blowout of the Week
Chicago 7-6ers (6-2) vs. Chappaqua GOATs (5-3)
- ESPN Projection: 7-6ers by 55
I wrote an entire preview for this game and then Mike Evans went off in the first half of TNF and Hasan indicated that he will not start a QB. The 7-6ers are back in control of this league after last week’s surprise loss.
Games to Watch
Dublin #McNuggets (5-3) vs. Worcester Nation of Muazination (3-5)
- ESPN Projection: #McNuggets by 7
The #McNuggets are 1-3 since their 4-0 start. By no means a must-win for Ayman, but I’m sure he would like to get back in the win column. They should be able to do so. Meanwhile, Muaz has all but given up on the season following his nonsensical trade for two downward trending players on a bye week in exchange for two of his quality starters.
New England Double Terriers (4-4) vs. Lowell Panthers (3-5)
- ESPN Projection: Double Terriers by 10
It’s a must win for the suddenly ornery Double Terriers. A loss could put them back 2 games from the final WC berth with only 4 games remaining. The Panthers will be down Tom Brady and Jordan Reed, but will put up a fight led by Jay Ajayi, Theo Riddick, and Dez Bryant. This could go either way.
Chelmsford Charawalas (5-3) vs. Bloomfield Cowboys (4-4)
- ESPN Projection: Cowboys by 2
The Eagles (I mean Charawalas) and Cowboys are both facing some bye week blues in this critical week 9 match up. The Sheikhs are currently without a QB for the week and there are slim pickings on the waiver wire. With a weak streaming QB under center and potentially another week without Randall Cobb, the Sheikhs might struggle to keep up with Zeke Elliot and the Cowboys. Q is playing with a chip on his shoulder this year and is getting hot at the right time. He will be a tough match up moving forward.
Co-Blowout of the Week
Boston OakTrees (6-2) vs. Lexington Mughals (5-3)
- ESPN Projection: OakTrees by 30
Even without 2 of his 4 RB1s, Oak is headed for another blowout win. The Mughals may have punted on Week 9, but they will be playing for the KD division title in the weeks to come and will welcome the returns of Lamar Miller and Jordan Howard. For now, Oak continues to crush his competition.
Upset of the Week
Mubarakstan University of Mubaraks (5-3) vs. Boston Baingans (2-6)
- ESPN Projection: Baingans by 15
One game off the division lead and facing a potential loss to Usmani’s 2-6 squad, the Mubaraks stubbornly refuse to trade for an RB and therefore are left starting Don Jackson and a player to be determined. Here are some suggestions to help you out Aasim…
Old Tappan J-E-T-S (6-2) vs. Needham ‘Nstigators (1-7)
- ESPN Projection: J-E-T-S by 25
Sakib Khan and the Minnesota Vikings take on Shahzad’s J-E-T-S. The hype for this game never materialized due to Sak’s nearly unprecedented 7 game losing streak (the all-time record is 9 straight regular season losses by Tehreem).
Pepperell Patriots (3-5) vs. Malden Cavaliers (1-7)
- ESPN Projection: Cavaliers by 10
Ebad’s Cavs will look to continue his winning ways, while Haroon finds himself in an absolute must win game. If the Patriots can survive this week, they’ll find themselves with a strong lineup for one last regular season push. If they can’t get past the Cavaliers, there will be a whole bunch of tears shed by Haroon.
