Week 5 Preview

BMuz Game of the Week

Dublin #McNuggets (4-0) vs. Chelmsford Charawalas (2-2)

  • ESPN Projection: #McNuggets by 4

The undefeated Ayman Usmani and his #McNuggets head into what should be their most difficult match up of the year. The Charawalas have surprised many given their slew of injuries. This week they lost their starting QB, Carson Palmer, to a concussion but maneuvered a last-minute trade to acquire Joe Flacco. Meanwhile Ayman will also be down his starting QB, Blake Bortles, due to a bye week. He has called upon Ryan Tannehill to help continue his unbeaten streak. On paper, these two teams seems evenly matched, but I’ll give the edge to the #McNuggets due to their stronger RB duo.

Games to Watch

Boston OakTrees (3-1) vs. Chappaqua GOATs (2-2)

  • ESPN Projection: GOATs by 4

The rematch of last year’s underwhelming championship game is here. Once again, Hasan Ali is the favorite. The GOATs are riding a two game winning streak and have seen steady performances from keepers AJ Green and David Johnson. However, the GOATs have been hit with injuries to key players (Kevin White, Eric Ebron) and a bout of prima donna from its star player (OBJ). Once expected to falter after Week 3, Oak has transformed his team through the trade market with pickups Melvin Gordon and Terrelle Pryor looking like strong, weekly performers. This game may come down to the QB as well. Derek Carr is surprisingly the #2 QB in the league and Kirk Cousins’s steady play has really helped the GOATs. It’s a toss-up for this championship game rematch.

Old Tappan J-E-T-S (3-1) vs. Worcester Nation of Muazination (2-2)

  • ESPN Projection: J-E-T-S by 10

It’s a rematch of sorts. This year’s candidates for commissioner match off for the first time this year after this year’s election was called off. This year, BMuz witnessed a lengthy campaign season which saw Muaz turn heel during a live broadcast of the commissioner debate helping Shahzad secure the commissionership. Muaz gets his chance at revenge, but it will be a tough road to climb if Cam has to sit due to his concussion and Tevin Coleman is limited due to his sickle-cell trait. The J-E-T-S should come away with a victory even if they’re forced to play the Bucs WR2 and WR3s at their FLEX spots.

New England Double Terriers (2-2) vs. Lexington Mughals (2-2)

  • ESPN Projection: Even

It’s a bird…it’s a plane…it’s Uzair. The Lexington Mughal himself has returned to BMuz and boy did we miss him. Uzair returned to his .500 team this week and finds himself in a showdown with the hottest team in BMuz. The Double Terriers are the highest scoring team in BMuz after four games averaging 127.5 points per game. They’ll be challenged this week with an injury to one half of their Murray Bros. duo likely to keep Latavius out. Don’t expect the Double Terriers to falter, but if the Mughals can keep up they might be able to pull out a win.

Blowout Alert

Chicago 7-6ers (3-1) vs. Pepperell Patriots (1-3)

  • ESPN Projection: 7-6ers by 18

The Pepperell Patriots don’t have a lot going for them right now. But they have a Gronk and everyone wants that Gronk. At the top of that list are the 7-6ers, the Patriots’ opponent this weekend. Does Haroon continue to ride the Gronk train or will he attempt salvaging his 2016 season? The 7-6ers should have no trouble dispatching a Patriots team that is a few weeks away from being quite competitive (Dion Jones, JStew and Gronk should be back to full health).

Other Games

Mubarakstan University of Mubaraks (3-1) vs. Lowell Panthers (1-3)

  • ESPN Projection: University of Mubaraks by 6

QB controversy alert! Abubakr’s Panthers find themselves with the #1 FF QB, Matt Ryan and fresh of suspension, Tom Brady. The Panthers will go with Brady this weekend for good reason as Ryan’s Falcons face off against the #1 D (Denver). It won’t be enough as this Panthers team, that has yet to put up 100 points, is made up of some very mediocre players this week given Maclin’s bye and Dez’s injury. The return of Brady will certainly help out Mubarakstan’s Edelman and the rest of his team should put up solid numbers leading to a win.

Boston Baingans (1-3) vs. Needham ‘Nstigators (1-3)

  • ESPN Projection: Baingains by 4

Usmani will likely beat Sakib’s sorry excuse of a team. But hey, if your team sucks you may as well spoil fantasy football for everyone else, right Sak?

Bloomfield Cowboys (2-2) vs. Malden Cavaliers (0-4)

  • ESPN Projection: Even

Ebad’s team needs a win and finds himself with a decent shot at breaking his early season bad luck. The Cowboys however are riding high after a victory over the division-leading J-E-T-S. Their pick up of Jordan Howard and re-emergence of John Brown help solidifying an already decent team. This one could go either way, but I’m betting on the Cowboys keeping the Cavaliers winless.
